Deutsche Bahn AG faced the challenge of replacing outdated T5 and T8 fluorescent lighting on station platforms with a modern, energy-efficient lighting solution. German LED Tech undergoes a strict annual supplier qualification process by Deutsche Bahn AG. As a Q1-certified supplier, approximately 10,500 old T5 and T8 fluorescent tubes have already been replaced with GLT LED TUBES “Made in Germany.” The 1:1 LED retrofit conversion according to IEC/EN 62776 was implemented nationwide — on platforms and in railway stations across Germany, from Hamburg to Freiburg and Saarlouis to Wittenberg. The implementation was carried out quickly, safely, and without any structural modifications to the existing and upgraded lighting infrastructure.

The ENEC-certified GLT LED TUBES, with a temperature resistance from –40 °C to +70 °C, provide tested safety and long service life, specifically designed for continuous operation in transport infrastructure. They meet all of Deutsche Bahn’s high standards for operational safety, regulatory compliance, and durability in LED lighting.
