Sustainability

Our daily business is driven by our mission to drastically reduce energy demand in Europe through efficient and circular lighting, to increase the profitability of businesses and to promote a circular economy. That is why we produce exclusively in Germany and design our GLT TUBES to be energy-efficient, durable and recyclable. In this way, we want to make an important contribution to achieving the European climate targets. This sustainability strategy is firmly anchored in our company DNA.

Quality and maximum energy efficiency

Our brand product, the GLT TUBE, is ENEC-certified according to the international standard IEC/EN 62776 for LED tubes for temperature ranges between -40°C to +70°C and can claim the title of "best technology available on the market" according to the current eco-design guidelines of the EU. This means immediate savings of up to 80% in operating costs and CO2 emissions compared to conventional fluorescent tubes. Thanks to this outstanding quality and durability, we have been offering intelligent and flexible rental models for more than 10 years. These enable immediate savings without tying up capital.

Circular Lighting

The GLT TUBE is manufactured exclusively in Germany and is 90% recyclable. Whether you buy or rent - at the end of the service life or at the end of the rental period, we take back the GLT TUBES, repair them or return the raw materials to the cycle. The reusable system of the GLT TUBE is unique on the LED market and directly benefits our environment.

Environmental Product Declaration EPD

Sustainability must be evaluated. That is why we allow ourselves to be assessed and disclose all environmentally relevant properties of our GLT TUBE. Whether raw materials, product components, production process, transport or recycling - every step is verified by independent auditors and the environmental impact is analysed on the basis of life cycle assessments over the entire product life cycle. In the form of an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) according to international standards ISO 14025 and EN 158074, the data is available on the homepage of the Institut Bauen und Umwelt e.V.

Fraunhofer IBP confirms benefits

A study completed in May 2022 by the Fraunhofer-Institut für Bauphysik IBP on behalf of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG confirms the advantageousness of the GLT TUBE using the example of the GLT TUBE 150 in the impact category EF3.0 Climate Change compared to comparable competitor products. Compared to fluorescent tubes, the GLT TUBE is already beneficial after 15 days, compared to LED tubes after 101 days. The energy efficiency and resource efficiency of the GLT TUBE is particularly emphasized. You can see a summary of the study here.study here.
