LED light as a service: The conversion at Pago AG, Grabs (Switzerland) – part of the Fuji Seal Group – was carried out without any investment costs or production downtime. By switching to GLT LED TUBES “Made in Germany”, Pago achieved the cantonal energy efficiency targets for large consumers for the next ten years – already in the first year after implementation.

The Challenge

Pago AG faced high energy costs and rising maintenance requirements due to outdated T5 and T8 fluorescent lighting. In addition, the company had to meet the cantonal energy efficiency requirements for large-scale consumers — without disrupting ongoing production.

The Solution – LED Retrofit with the GLT LED TUBE

Pago AG opted for a retrofit to GLT LED TUBES under the GLT Rent leasing model – the LED modernization was carried out without any initial investment. A total of 2,600 old T5 and T8 fluorescent tubes were replaced with GLT LED TUBES in a 1:1 retrofit process according to IEC/EN 62776, performed during ongoing production.
The retrofit was executed by German LED Tech technicians.

The existing luminaires were converted according to EN standards, and the old ballasts were removed. The LED driver is fully integrated into the GLT LED TUBE.

The new LED lighting meets all technical standards and legal requirements for quality, energy efficiency, and sustainability. From day one, Pago AG met all cantonal energy efficiency regulations.

Thanks to the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) of the GLT TUBE, all environmental impacts of the lighting can be transparently measured and documented.
