Save energy and do something good

We were once again rewarded for our consistent approach of producing LED light sources one hundred per cent sustainably in Germany and drastically reducing energy requirements in Europe through efficient and circular lighting.

We have ourselves scientifically assessed. Our branded product, the GLT TUBE, is the first LED light source on the market to be certified with the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) by the Institut Bauen und Umwelt e.V.. The GLT TUBE is now recognised as an LED light source for sustainable construction in accordance with international standards 14025 and EN 15804. All energy and environmental impacts of the GLT TUBE have been summarised, such as the consumption of primary energy and raw materials or the effects of transport and the possibilities of repair and recycling. Each step was verified by independent auditors and experts. The environmental impact was documented on the basis of life cycle assessments across the entire value chain of the GLT TUBE.
