GLT TUBE: Circular economy through repair and recycling

German LED Tech has been setting standards since 2010 and produces sustainable, long-lasting and reusable LED tubes for professional users in Germany.

The GLT TUBE is an exemplary LED light source for circular lighting and follows the principles of the circular economy: from sustainable design and a long service life to the repair and return of raw materials to the cycle.

The EU path to climate neutrality by 2050: from “throw away” to “recycle”

New legal framework conditions support the transition to a circular economy in order to use resources for as long as possible and promote climate neutrality. The UN warns that by 2050, resource consumption could be as high as if we were inhabiting three planets. This is where the 2021 EU Circular Economy Action Plan comes in, which includes 35 measures for sustainable production and waste reduction and strengthens Europe's global leadership in this area.

Economic success meets sustainable values

German LED Tech shows that ecological progress and economic success are not a contradiction in terms. With the GLT TUBE, companies save up to 80% on energy and maintenance costs and significantly reduce their CO₂ emissions - a decisive advantage for business customers. Manufactured in modern German plants, the GLT TUBE scores with the lowest ecological footprint in its class and avoids long transportation routes.

Excellence can be read in the EPD of the GLT TUBE

The GLT TUBE relies on state-of-the-art technology: it is extremely durable, pollutant-free and efficient. In line with the circular economy, it is 90% recyclable and fully repairable - at GLT, “reusing instead of throwing away” is what counts. At the end of their service life or rental period, the GLT TUBES are repaired or returned to the cycle as a raw material, for a sustainable future and future-oriented lighting solutions.

All this is documented and publicly available in the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) from the Institut Umwelt und Bauen E.V. It is an environmental product declaration in accordance with international standards ISO 14025 and EN 15804 and is internationally recognized.
